High-throughput experiments generate extraordinary volumes of data that can confound traditional life science software analysis tools. The Human BodyMap 2.0 Project (by Ensembl and Illumina) is an example of an extraordinary volume of data. This invaluable public resource focuses on a selection of 16 human tissue types to generate RNAseq data, and continues to deepen our understanding of gene expression patterns in the Human body. The complexity of the data is enhanced by its high-dimensionality, so there is a need to further address the patterns that might be hidden in this dataset.
I examined publicly available RNAseq data from the Human BodyMap 2.0 Project (by Ensemble and Illumina) and used interactive visualizations native to TIBCO™ Spotfire® platform help identify and visualize the entire gene expression analysis process.
