A Laboratory Execution System (LES)) is a laboratory informatics system that enables paperless execution of laboratory tests in an electronic environment that supports compliance with SOP and GxP requirements as well as regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR Part 11.

Along with the cost, productivity and efficiency benefits of eliminating paper, implementing an LES provides laboratories with an opportunity to also improve their procedural execution by providing a level of control and automation over their analyses that is simply not possible in a paper-based environment.

With that transition to the paperless environment laboratories are able to:

    • Work more efficiently as analysts have direct access to the information that they need to run their tests
    • Reduce time spent on peer review as opportunities for manual error are eliminated through automated data collection, calculations and limit checking
    • Reduce rework and investigation due to procedural .....
